करोना लसीवर आज दिलासादायक बातमी देण्यात आली आहे. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी देशातील तीन प्रमुख शहरांतील वेगवेगळ्या तीन कंपन्यांना भेट देत लस विकास आणि उत्पादन प्रक्रियेचा आढावा घेतला. पंतप्रधान मोदी यांनी आढावा घेतल्यानंतर पुण्याच्या सीरम इन्स्टिट्यूटचे अदर पुनावाला यांनी पत्रकार परिषद घेऊन लसीचे वितरण पहिल्यांदा भारतात करणार असल्याची आनंदाची बातमी दिली. जुलै २०२१ पर्यंत ३० ते ४० कोटी डोस उपलब्ध करणार करणार असल्याची माहितीही पुनावाला यांनी दिली.
अहमदाबाद, हैदराबादनंतर पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी पुण्याच्या सीरम इन्स्टिट्यूटमध्ये आज सायंकाळी भेट देऊन लस विकास आणि उत्पादन प्रक्रियेचा आढावा घेतला. यानंतर पुण्याच्या सीरम इन्स्टिट्यूटचे अदर पुनावाला यांनी पत्रकार परिषद घेऊन लसीसंदर्भात पहिल्यांदाच सविस्तर माहिती दिली. पुनावाला म्हणाले की, पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांना लसीच्या उत्पादनाची संपूर्ण माहिती देण्यात आली. लसीच्या तयारीबद्दल पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी समाधान व्यक्त केले. लसीसंदर्भातील अनेक मुद्यांवर, महत्त्वपूर्ण विषयांवर चर्चा पंतप्रधानांसोबत झाल्याचेही पुनावाला म्हणाले. जवळपास सव्वातास आढावा पंतप्रधानांनी घेतला.
दरम्यान, अदर पुनावाला पत्रकार परिषदेत म्हणाले की, लसीच्या तिसर्‍या ट्रायलवर लक्ष आहे. ही लस पूर्णपणे सुरक्षित असल्याचा दावाही त्यांनी पत्रकार परिषदेत केला. जुलै २०२१ पर्यंत ३० ते ४० कोटी डोस उपलब्ध करणार असून प्रथम भारतात उपलब्ध करून दिली जाणार आहे. प्रत्येक महिन्याला ५ ते ६ कोटी डोसची निर्मितीचे नियोजन आहे. या लसीमुळे ६० टक्के लोकांना रुग्णालयाची गरज पडणार नाही, असा दावाही अदर पुनावाला यांनी पत्रकार परिषदेत केला. लोकांपर्यंत लस पोहोचविण्याची तयारी केली जात आहे. लसीच्या तयारीबद्दल पंतप्रधान मोदी समाधानी असून लसीची किंमत सर्वसामान्यांना परवडेल अशी असेल आणि लस सर्वांना उपलब्ध करून दिली जाईल, असेही पुनावाला म्हणाले.
